How do I get updates via e-mail?

Getting updated via e-mail is easy and free.

1.  Join us - joining us is also free.  To join us, click on the "join us" link on the navigation bar just below the top banner.  Follow the brief instructions.  When you're done, check your e-mail inbox for the conformation.  (This e-mail will come from squarespace.)  Click on the url that tells you to confirm your e-mail.  That will take you straight to our pages which will tell you you're in like flint (in so many words).

2. Next step is to login.

3. Once you've logged in, you can add info about yourself (if you want),  change your password, navigate freely, comment without having to enter any info - your comment is automatically published, and you can also subscribe to our journals.

What is a journal?

Each section of Eye On Life E-zine is considered a journal, a running set of pages on a particular subject.  The contents of each journal consists of pages.  Each page holds one clicked into entry, unless you're on the "main" page of any journal, in which case you will see excerpts of the posts and articles that can be found in that particular journal.

When you click on the person icon on the top right bar of our e-zine, next to your chosen name, you'll notice some options.  To subsribe to a page will allow us to e-mail all updates in any of the journals you have subscribed to.  To subscribe to a journal, just go to that journal, click on the icon by your login name, and click subscribe.

Note: if you subscribe to the home page, we'll only e-mail you updates for the Home page.  This keeps your inbox neat and tidy.  However, you won't get updated on any of our inside journals unless you go to those journals and subscribe to them.  The only way you'll know what's there or what changes have been made, or when someone has commented on a post, will be to subcribe to that journal, ie. Forever Frieda, Eye on Moms, Poetry Unlocked, etc.  (rss feeds will only keep you updated on new posts for the particular journal you have fed to). Note you are in complete control of your subscriptions and can navigate your subscriptions from your management area by clicking on the icon by your username.

Questions?  Feel free to add your questions to the comments of this post, or you can e-mail us.  We'll respond within 24 hours.

Hope this helps, and hope you join us.

From all of us here at Eye On Life e-zine, happy reading!

Vintage Bicycles, Romance, Photographs, Links, and Vintage Balloon Tires

It’s true, Vintage bicycles were more than just a way to get from point a to point b. Vintage bicycles were undoubtedly built for romance, plain and simple.  One has only to look at vintage photographs and paintings to see this.  Covers of books.  Films.  Magazines.  Even the images in the poster ads for these beautiful beauties are romantic…

New Article on J Braden Gets Astro Logical on Historical Astrology

So what is Senior Editor of Astro Logics all about anyway?  Well briefly, it's about Astrology for self Awareness and Transformation.  Spiritual Astrology to show your soul forces and challenges in life. I can strongly attest to the fact that this woman knows her stuff, and no, she's not your average astrologer, and she does tell it like it is.  I for one love her style.  Her series is most exciting, and I must say, encouraging.

In the event that you're not subscribed to the JBraden feed here's an excerpt:

Astrology is an ancient craft, the first known references date back to Babylonian texts in 1600 BC.  It's place in the lives of the Babylonian folk was no different to the influence of computers in modern times.  It was a natural tool used to help fathom the ins and outs, whys and wherefores of living life.  In short it helped to get ones head around why stuff happens, the good, bad and ugly.

Unfortunately modern day or mainstream tabloid interpretations of Astrology has led to  sweeping generalizations of interpretations.  In fact...

If you want to claim a blog on technorati, and you're not using something like blogspot or wordpress, you have to do something along the lines of a strange, encrypted posting, like this one.  No, we're not cursing you...  And yes, we do know how to type.  *chuckle*

I suppose since I'm here, I may as well tell you guys how much we appreciate the great response we've gotten.  Glad we opened our doors early?  You bet we are!  You guys love us and we're still in the process of opening our pages and sections.  *Yay!*

Each section has its own feed, including the home page.  So be sure to subscribe to your favorites.  All of them you say?  Well click away.  We're awesome here at Eye on Life, so don't hold back!  Bookmarking this site is a fab idea too!

Logically, we're all thrilled!

Who can get people to open up to her and to themselves better than anyone we know?  Who knows astrology and the inner workings of the self within and without in a way that blows the others out of the water?  Who has a passion for her career and loves to write and talk about it?

That would be our brilliant team member and Astrology Editor, J Braden.  And may I just say we are thrilled to have her in our midst.

While I had known of her, I had never really known of her unique abilities until I contacted her upon reading a post about her on Christopher Reilly’s fabulous blog The Crusty Curmudgeon”.  The post is called “A Skeptic Gets Blown Into the Heavens” (see “references” below this posting for links to Crusty’s blog and this particular post).  All I can say is….  I got blown into the heavens too!  I most certainly did.  I’ve been an admirer and follower of Julie’s ever since.

Her approach is not your normal astrological, meditative, new age, approach.  She brings something deeper into the gamut.  Her instinct is strong.  Once you’ve spoken with her, you can see just how passionate and right on the money she is about all of her many experiential delving.

Is her career a calling?  We believe it is.

Julie Braden is a professional astrologer, meditation instructor, and an IST practitioner who has been working and writing in the field of human consciousness and internal states for well over ten years…

All of  us here at Eye on Life extend a warm welcome to Julie and are most excited about her section of this awesome e zine: J Braden Gets Astro Logical.  New articles coming soon!  She’ll also have a discussion forum here which can be linked to from her pages.  Instant messaging in the works for live chats.

In the mean time… Julie Braden LOVES to skype.  Join Us for e-mailed updates, subscribe to her feed, and bookmark us.  You don’t want to miss a thing!

Warm Welcome to Pamela Grundy

One of my favorite on-line writers,  Pamela Grundy, is one of Eye on Life's team members.  Yay!

We all adore her writing.  Why?  Not only are her topics fascinating, but her style is clever and unique.  Her writing is matter of fact, no nonesense, never too much, never too little.  Pam is a witty, passionate, and sincere author. Admittedly, the lot of us are fans, admirers, and avid readers of her work.  As a person, we can say she is equally wonderful; and we know you will love her as much as we do.

Pam is Senior editor, here at Eye on Life.  Her bio is now posted to our Meet the Authors pages.  You can get there by clicking on the Meet the Authors tab on the navigation bar found at the top of each page.  Or, click on her photo in this post.

Her pages here at Eye on LifeThe Paranormal Detective and The PGrundy Review.  Posts on their way at Pam's leisure (she's very popular you know).
